I am in pretty hard red clay and the cultivating tines are clawing pretty slowly.

I ordered the digging tines and hope they are better. I am wondering can you just run half the tines to be more aggressive cutting or maybe to dig out a narrow trench for border?

What are some tips to help it dig. Do you like to rock it side to side it sawing into the ground with one side at a time? Or do you let it walk forward then drag it backwards only lightly biting the soil each pass?

The digging tines are more aggressive but they won't slice through hard pan red clay. I am not giving a negative review as the dirt is hard. I haven't tried running half the tines yet but you can configure with just 2 tines instead of 4 and hope that can dig narrow trenches faster/easier
