We are trying to get my oldest into FFA but the local folks are telling me we can't because we homeschool:thumbdown:

Anyone know if this is correct and if there are any work arounds?

When I took FFA it was in conjunction with the Vocational Agriculture course at the high school. Our Vo-Ag teacher handled both, and I assumed they were all part of the same program, inseparable. It might be possible to take Vo-Ag at the high school and get the FFA that way. There are aspects of it that remind me of sports programs, in that a team effort is required, something that does not lend itself to home schooling.
