ferguson to 30
I'm thinking about buying a ferguson to 30. Is there anyway to get hydraulics off the pump on the tractor itself to operate hydraulic powered attatchments. Like a hydraulis tiller or a plow on the front?

:welcome:

There might be a way to operate a one-way hyd cylinder by locking the 3 ph arms and plumbing off the rockshaft (could do that with the 8N Ford, but not sure with the TO-30).
Doubt a hyd tiller is possible however.

On my TO-30, I ran a cable from the 3 ph lift arms to the front plow and raised it that way. Took a few cable pulleys to do it, but it worked ok for me until I could upgrade the tractor.

I don't believe that those tractors had much for extra reservoir volumn (the amout of fluid that can leave the tractor without causing issues). The popular setup on those was to mount a pump to the front of the motor.

Thanks the cable pulleys sound like the easiest idea, i thought about a hydraulic pump powered by the pto?

Actually, it is very simple to develop a hyd source for cyl or hyd motors. There are the clutch hyd pumps, and there are pumps like this which I use on my PT for lift and steering.

This little pump can run off the fan belt and provide up to 3 GPM, at 3000 psi.

You would need a small reservoir, a valve with relief, a pump, hoses, hoses fittings and some know how.
