FEL won\'t raise

I have a 4115 and 410 FEL with little over 8 hours on it. In the middle of a job the FEL failed to lift. The bucket will roll up and down and I can lower the FEL to pick the front tires off the ground, but no lifting. This is a new unit purchased from a dealer, and I have re-seated the quick connect couplings for the loader but still no lift. Anyone else had this happen, or have any suggestions?

Thanks - Jim

Re: FEL won\'t raise

I'd say the valving is stuck. Call the dealer, with only 8 hours, they should fix this.

JAV,

I had this kind of thing happen to me once, too. Turned out the quick disconnect wasn't quite locked in place. It seated well enough to work for a short while, then stopped. A casual glance looked like everything was in place, but it wasn't. Check your disconnects and make sure they are locked in.

If one of quick-connects was loose u
couldn't lift front end of tractor SO,
I would say your valve is stuck or broke.
Make call to dealer and get it fixed.

Sorry, I somehow missed that you had already reseated the quick disconnects. I dont know anything about valve problems (that's a good thing), but Scott and Hoeman sound like they know what they're talking about.

Re: FEL won\'t raise

This happened to me before on my 4300, and a few others on this site. Here's a link to a thread with the same problem. <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.tractorbynet.com/cgi-bin/compact/showflat.pl?Cat=&Board=jdown&Number=144061&page=&view=&sb=&o=&vc=1>Click here</A>

Hope this helps. I remember my dealer told me this happens far too often.

Re: FEL won\'t raise

For those of you that discussed the quick disconnects - you win the cigar! Dealer took it away and replaced one set. Turns out the clip inside that holds a spring and puts presure on the end of the connector was off and there was no pressure to open the other end of the quick disconnect. My thanks to all who chimed in. I appreciate it. Back in the seat tonight!
