Wondering if anyone else with this machine has issues with the hydraulic performance? I have the FEL and BH attachments and I know this is a small “lawn mower” not a true tractor but mine just doesn’t lift like I believe it should. It has 900# rating at the pins on the FEL and I could not pick up a 600# gun safe, could not even lift it inches in the pickup bed. I do realize the forks added some weight to the lift but shouldn’t it at least have picked it up some?

Also when using the BH attachment the arm is extremely jerky to the point of being almost dangerous if you are extended way out with a heavier load in the bucket. I have a BXExtended thumb attachment and a 150# (or so) rock will make it jump and bounce no matter how easily you attempt to ease it down. It will about throw you out of the seat sometimes.

I’m sure the pressure settings are set fairly conservative from the factory. I also had an issue with the hydraulic block fittings leaking and I had to return it for repairs. I complained about these issues to the dealer and asked for it to be checked and they supposedly checked the pressures and I was told it was “in spec.”

Just wondering again if others have had any similar issues with these machines and how they handled them? I appreciate any replies or suggestions.

Yes, on the BH being jerky, but much less so if you can combine another movement at the same time, as in lowering and swinging at the same time ...

Part of the problem with the stated lift capacity is "the pins" are where the ratings are based on (purple arrow) ... My forks are 347 Lbs, how much do yours weigh?

Then there is the issue of how far out the load is from the "pins" ...

600 Lbs of wood heating pellets ... Plus pallet, plus forks, as a high as I could lift ...

Same maximum lift height, but stacked weight closer to the "pins" I got one more 40 Lb bag on!

Mines right at stated hydraulic pressure ...

Spec for hydraulic pressure is 1920 LBS measured deadheaded and any of the FEL QD's.... And for ability to lift loads, it decreases as you move farther... out from the FEL pins...... Pallet forks will decrease lift capability every time....

According to JD manual dead Deere weighs in at 520 pounds....
