This weekend I was in Northern Wisconsin. We had a light snow storm on Sunday. Before leaving the great white north we had approx. 12 inches of snow on the ground. I used my tractor FEL to plow the snow. It worked OK. Had to push in a straight line and it was not perfect but did a good job.
I would touch the bucket to the ground with the bottom tilting slightly up from level. I would push the control handle all the way foreward to the float posistion, and drive foreward. It did scoop just the snow except for a little bit of gravel. Actually less gravel than I seen pickups with a plow take and a lot less than I expected. I did have the FEL pop out of float a couple of times. I wonder if this is normal?
Over all it did do a pertty good job.
