FEL on John Deere 4500

[TRACTOR CRAZY]

Heelo, I've got a JD 4500 with a front end loader that wont start, I want to tow it back to the barn how do I get the bucket up high enough to tow the tractor, will this cause ant damage to the hydraulics ?

Welcome to TBN

With a helper holding the joystick back (like your raising the loader) jack it up or lift it with another tractor, then have the helper let go of the joystick and it should stay up.

Or put the loader in "float" and pull it backwards.

If the engine turns over you should be able to raise it at starter speed. Hold back on the stick and engage the starter. If it's anything like the loader on my 4310 it won't stay up for long so you will probably have to repeat.
