FEL forklift

Got a new attachment project in the works. Need an extra foot or so extra lift on the Massey 1742 fel. Not quite enough height to place pallets in the old barn loft. Old dairy barn, low ceiling, great loft for storage. Picked up a ssqa plate. Will fab up a short hydraulic lift system, like a fork lift onto the plate. Doesn't need to lift much, 5-600 lbs. Has anyone seen or have such an item?

I saw such a device or more speciically a loader with an extra section some years ago at a show. It was either HORST, HLA or FREY.

I have not seen a forklift on a FEL but have seen 3 point mounted fork lift masts for doing what you are describing

Sorry, this is what I had seen. It (or the design) probably can't help you with your fork height.

Buy a second set of forks and weld them 2’ high. Then use a regular set of forks stack the pallets on a wagon deck and switch to the elevated forks.

I can put the forks on my JD 640 Carrier on upside down to gain a bit. But yeah, you need to have the pallet somewhere off the ground to start.

That looks kind of scary and fragile.

Having forks at height can subject them to great stress when you pull up or push down without realizing it. A FEL is not a forklift.

safety police may not like it but what about driving the front tires up on a set of heavy duty car ramps. that may not be enough
