FEL DON\'T DO THAT

Hi, just wanted to share some information with you guys...I found out you don't want to push on trees with the top of you bucket....it will bend...I have a 02 L3010 HST with a LA 482 Loader and was pushing on some small trees and I bent the top of my bucket....Its not real bad but hate that I've got that first dingy on it....Its really amazing what you can do with that machine...

The first ding the hardest and if you get stuck..well that just shows you are useing the equipment...a fellow TBNer said this in a post over a year ago,also post a picture of a JD w/mmm & fel stuck in mud against at tree..yikes.

The bucket can be fix or replace but you can't so be careful..got any photos.

No dingy's, all fresh paint, no battle scars means it hasn't been used for doing real work.

I have always said my equipment are users not showers. I like them to look as nice as possible but I want to be able to do the job.

Bent and twisted my bucket moving a camper around that was way to heavy for it. My dealer is taking it back tomorrow to streighten and reinforce it. No charge. It made me sick I hurt my "baby". They are powerful, wondeful machine but you can't get stupid using them. Like I did.

You don't want to push with the bottom of the bucket either. Folded the cutting bar in the middle, twisted the bucket real bad, pushed in the back of the bucket where the arm attaches and broke the right hand lower arm. Gonna be real busy with the welder tomorrow.

How big was that tree?

I've pushed pines at least 8 inch diameter with no damage. Ok, the roots surprised my and dinged the grill but no bucket damage.

I've pushed down maybe 100 trees, from 3" to about 8". Popular, maple, birch and pine. The one that got the bucket was a 14" pine. Almost had it when the bucket folded. Spent the whole day welding today, and headed out at 6PM, trying to get the last few trees. Blew a hydraulic line. Not my day./w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif
