Front-End Loader FEL Bucket Extension

I'm looking for a way to increase the amount of firewood I can load into my fel bucket. I want to cut down on the number of trips to the trailer. I have seen in a previous post where someone on here made one, but I don't have the tools or welding skills to make my own. Does anyone know of any products manufactured for sale that would work for what I want to do?

Sorry, but I don't. But have you looked into just buying a larger bucket to fit you loader? Don't know your brand of machine, but a lot of FEL's come with a standard size bucket, with options for a larger or more heavy duty bucket. Also if you have a universal mount on our FEL you may be able to look at different manufacturers buckets as well. That might be easier than trying to fab something.

A different approach might be to use a trailer of some kind that you could load more into than your bucket would hold. Or possibly add a carry all to your 3 point hitch than you could load both the loader and the carry all. Just a thought.

Maybe a sheet of plywood attached with clamps on bottom and sides.

How about clamp on pallet forks, an old pallet with sides made from plywood. No welding required.

How about making a carryall for the back? Search on carryall and you'll find tons of variations.

build a box from plywood and 2x4s that fits in your bucket -- clamp it in some way - and haul away.

Cut a piece of ply thats size of the base of the bucket plus a couple of feet. (Say 4' x 4' ). Then string chains or cable from the front corners of the ply to the top corners of the bucket. (You may have to drill a couple of holes in the top corners of the bucket to attach some shackles.) A couple of small cheap 'G' clamps may also be needed to keep the ply in position. You should be able to knock something like that together in a couple of hours, and attach and remove it in seconds when necessary.
