Hey everyone, pretty new here. Have a backhoe problem that I'm posting in a different thread on.

Anyway, just wanted to ask the gurus here how I did on my L3710 purchase.......doesn't really matter, the deal's done and I LOVE the tractor......but curiosity killed the cat!!!

It's a L3710 HST with a cab. AC/Heat etc. LA682 FEL and a set of pallet forks. Paint as new, turf tires(only negative). 150 hours.

I gave $19,000 for it and trailered it home myself, 700 mile round trip.

What do think?

I think that it is too late to decide if it is a good deal or a bad deal. The fact of the matter is that you now own it, and for better or worse, it is yours. It is like getting married. You have to make the decision if it is correct before you take the final vows. Afterward, it is too late and you just learn to live with the outcome. Enjoy your tractor, and remember, it is always easier to get out of a bad tractor deal than a bad marriage.... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif .... and less expensive also...... /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

LOL!!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Dude, you must be in politics!!!!

I know it's too late now...........I'm still curious though. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I do wish I had found this site before I bought. However, the research I did was OVERWHELMING in favor of Kubota.

I was a day away from getting a new LG Montana for very close to the same price.

The JD's in that price range were much smaller new.

And none of the ones I shopped had the cab........

I guess what I'm searching is if there's like a Blue Book value?

Here is what the site says about a L3710HSTC tractor...
Premium $23,876

Good $22,958

Fair $21,890

Now one thing to keep in mind, this is for a 2001 model... if it is a 2000 model, then the value drops. I was only able to make three searchs and then I would have to join for more. I figure that you can do the rest on your own.... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

LVKubota,

I am far from a "guru", but I can tell you what I paid for my L3710 GSTwith about 160 hours. I bought it with a new Koyker 210 FEL and R4's for 15,700.00. Not sure what the cab is worth but it sounds like you got a good deal. I paid an additional $1,275.00 in shipping from Texas to Maine. Then there was the BH for another 4K...... and the Subframe and new ROPS, 1K.

All in all I really think I got a pretty good deal... Well that is my story and I am sticking to it!!!!!!

Enjoy it, the deal is done!

OK... you got a lousy deal... Bring it to my home and I will give you my BX22 in trade and $1500.... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif It is the least that I can do to help a friend out of a bad deal. If you hurry, I will even throw in a old wife!! I must tell you in advance, that she is a Champion Nagger. Won the State Nagging Contest 3 years running. The only thing that runs faster than her mouth is a open faucet...... /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Three years ago my father bought a L3710 HST with FEL and industrial tires. I think he paid a little over $23,000. This included a set of pallet forks and medium duty WOODS rotary cutter. Since a cab can add about $5,000 to the price I think you did very well. I would not have hesitated to buy your rig at the price you got. You can always buy an extra set of R1 or R4 tires later if you are not happy with the turf tires.

sounds like you got a decent price. Just wondering tho, why a tractor that size had Turff tires on it? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Because it wouldn't look quite right with racing slicks.... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

We were thinking of taking the tractor to the drags the other night.................slicks would've been cooool /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I have no idea why it came with turf tires. The only answer the previous owner gave me was, "They'll be fine for what you want to do."

I'm shopping for new tires!!

I believe you got a great deal, especially if sales tax was eliminated. You'll love the cab and the tractor.

Don't knock the turf tires until you have a chance to use them. I have turf tires on my L3430 and wouldn't change them for Ags or R4s. No traction problems and no marks across the lawn.

Enjoy your new rig!
