Fatal chipper accident

   / Fatal chipper accident #21
The article does not say enough about the details to make conclusions. (Other than this was a tragic, needless loss of life)

I don't need OSHA to tell me common sense of having two people work a big chipper (especially if one is so young).

Condolences to his family. I expect they will never recover from his loss.
Yet again No such thing exists as Common Sense, It's lack of education or training, it's the stupidity of assuming some one knows what not to do. I have had apprentices That have told me other trainers said they had no common sense and they did not ask any one for fear of being degraded by being called stupid and having no common sense, usually after an incident that should not have happened, You can't win a court case for wrongfull death or injury claiming common sense or lack of it, Age has nothing to do with this fatality it's all about Education and training.
