Farmtrac 665 PTO Problem

Hello everyone

I am new to the forum and a new tractor owner. I recently bid on an won this tractor in an auction, now the fun begins. I have found out that it has an electrical short and that the PTO will not stay engaged. I do not think that the wiring is going to be a problem but I am concerned about the PTO problem. Anybody run into the PTO problem?

Did you check the post above yours where it talks about the PTO on a 675 not staying engaged. Might be a place to start if the two tractors are similiar. Hope this helps.

Thanks, yes I did read the post and I will check these items when I get it running. First I have to replace the wiring harness which is burnt up. New harness is ordered and should be here next week. I picked this tractor up in an auction and it appears to be in great shape, just 277 hours. Tires are like brand new, I think it is a 2005 model.
