Hey---I've found a 1951/52 Farmall H that runs. A little surface rust, all the parts are on it, and is currently owned by the second owner. No three point, slow leak in rear tire. Whats a fair price?

Don't know about your area, and there are a couple more conditions to consider. The amount of tire tread, narrow or wide front, hydraulics, 6 or twelve volt, and what H it was (they had a bunch) and more

I like tractorhouse.com. they list a lot of dealer and some private sales. Try to compare to what your looking at, and search craigs list

In Minnesota they can be found starting at $800 and go to about $2000

i agree.. that could be about a 1000$ machine.. less if the tires are bad.. maybee a tad more if it was minty and new tires.

you can get kits to add a heavy 3pt to that tractor.. bolts on, plugs in.. has down pressure. saginow make sone of them.. but i see a few makers in the antique tractor mags.

I don't think the 3 point has down pressure, if its off the tractor hydraulics it is lift, hold, or float. Mine is a 41 and I hauled it away for a $200 trade, it would not fire at the time, but it was running a couple of weeks earlier, and it turned out to be points and condenser issue (not sure witch, I replaced both at the same time). They are an awesome farm tractor, I mow and bale 750 to 1000 bales per year with mine and green chop another 5 acres or so. Depends on your intended use, but the Farmall H is the only tractor model ever to out sell the Ford 8n. Parts are easy to find, and the tractor is easy to work on. I would trade my NAA for another Farmall as long as it had the 3 point hitch.

Good Luck!!!

please RE-READ my post ...

I stated you can get KITS that are HD and have down pressure. just because a tractor can only provide SA doesnt mean anything.

I appologize, assumed when you stated plugs in it meant to the existing hydraulics, thats what I am familiar with. You are very right, there are many variations of the 3 point hitch that will bolt on most any tractor out there, the H is exceptionally simple, because of the rear axle design. The other thing I would like to mention is ballast, on the front this time. The H is very light in the front end, and a 3 point would make it worse, front weight would be very important.
