Absolutely. It was indeed a genuine Kubota powerplant! The gentleman I was talking to told me that they are in the process of receiving a new model of these tractors. It will be hydrostatic and have a mid pto complete with MMM if desired. Obviously it's not a perfect tractor, but I liked the standard (not optional!) rear hydraulic connectors, the "feet guard" plates (see photo of engine for clear shot of this) and the general solidness of the frame. It'll be interesting to see if any of these pop up on farms/acreages in my area.

Thats right...

The strange thing they(Mahindra) use "Daedong" (Kioti) powerplants with the TYM chassis...

Who's the distributor for TYM in Canada?

Not sure who the "Canadian" distributor is, but the guy at the show here is the distributor for the Edmonton region. They are "TD Sales and Rentals Inc" (1-800-661-4634).

I'll attach some shots of the flyer from them with the specs. Sorry but my scanner isn't hooked up so two photos of the sheet will hopefully suffice /w3tcompact/icons/blush.gif.

By the way... is the John Deere powerplant offered in the Canadian models? I didn't see any reference on your sheets...

If they stop "talking" about the "hydro" coming... and actually do something and make it happen... I believe it will be a hot seller...

You're correct... what are options on others are standard with the TYM units... and also they are priced right - off the top a few thousand less than comparable brands... before discounts...

Yes. The 1st half of the spec sheet I posted on the far right hand column, that is the T580 specs.

I'm planning on setting up the scanner real soon /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif and I'll be sure to post a scan of the actual spec sheet once I have it. For reference, however, the front of the sheet actually says "TYM-USA" on it. Guess we're importing from you guys after you import it!
