Stopped at Barlows yesterday to tell of my turning results and he said Kubota rep would be around in a couple of weeks and he will send him and one of Barlows mechanics out to see what could be the problem. He mentioned 3 different maybe problems.
He has a really nice 1977 Silver Corvette on his lot that I think someone is maybe trading him for a tractor and it has 52000 original miles and will be for sale, I think. I had a 1967 Corvette and traded it for a 1977 Corvette back some years ago. Nice driving cars, not the 67 but the 77. The 67 was a , well a 67.:)
Steve said he sold 2 F models this week. One to you and one to a School system who already has one which shows the satisfaction level for people to buy a second or third one.
Barlows still has the cabbed/AC almost new RTV1100 for $12500 for Troy if he'll just get out of La and come on up and look at it.

Waiting on tires for the F, wish they offered options like they do for the tractors.
The bar turf drive tires I put on mine have kept me from miring up several times with all the rain we are getting. Have not found the correct size for the steering axle. The turf tires even slimed started having too many leaks. Bought the bar turfs and wheels as whole goods from Kubota for not much more than replacement tires would have cost. Off set is a little different but still fit.
How is that RTV1100 equipped? They list for over 20K on the web site.
Started to replace the power steering on my truck but got rained out. Was not forecast until later today. May try to tag my 16 foot 7K trailer rather than using the 18 foot 12K trailer which is tagged for out of state travel.

The RTV1100 is fully loaded. A/C and heater is nice on it for riding in comfort and the price is really a great deal. I'd want it but I like the open air in the summer with Grands and don't do much winter riding. Looks, starts and runs like new. I had looked at it for someone out of state who asked me to stop by and look at it. Barlows had sent them pics but there is a bit of hesitancy when buying from a far distance without seeing in person so I agreed to be their in person looker.
I have a dual axle 16' 7000lb trailer and I don't have a license plate for it. I don't think trailers are licensed in Ky so bring the smaller one if your going to pick it up.
I did get stuck one time on my F3080. Got into a bog and just started sinking while the turf tires became racing slicks but never had any problem here at home because I don't have any wet areas, hillside with down hill drainage almost every where. Even my "flats" are slightly tilted down hill. Where I got stuck is one mile west of Barlows on my "flat" rental property that has one low corner in the back that I don't mow, I was pushing some "stuff" into the corner to do some covering.:D
I have gotten 2 flats on my turfs at the rental property where people want to throw stuff in the field that want to puncture the tires. I'd like R4s if I had more of those problems but other wise I like the turfs.

John, down here you do not need tags within the state unless you are commercial, you do need them going out of state. I will get semi tags (one time payment) due to it's width (over 86 inches by memory). I even have 26k farm tags on the Ford F350 to cover GVWR (9990 lb) of truck and trailer (12000 lb). There have many threads up in the truck & trailer section on this subject. I do have a class A CDL with X endorsement and am playing safe.
Will have to look at the RTV next time I am up there.
Keep us informed on the steering problem.

If you buy the RTV you can bring it out to my house and we can go thru the woods in A/C comfort and see if the over hanging branches will scratch the windshield.
I'll keep any new info posted.

WATCH OUT, when I bought my RTV, John had some places he wanted us to try it out. You should see the whoop te doos and jumps he has waiting for that 1100.:laughing:

Sounds like I should bring up my FJ40 with 38.5s on it Locked front and rear. May need help climbing up in it.
Hate to say it but I am pondering buying a rollback instead, even my longer trailer ts too short for my largest tractor (MF1652) with loader and bush hog. Getting too old to mess with ramps, Truck and trailer is a long combination hard to park out of the way. A good tilt deck trailer would run as much or more than some of the rollbacks I have been looking up.
If I hit the powerball tonight I could have both. That 1100 is tempting.

It's more tempting when sitting in it and hearing that motor purr while your in your cockpit with heat or air and no dust/snow/cold/hot sun on your face.:cool2:

Johnthomas, I noticed that the steering wheel is not connected positive, I marked it and it was all over the place while going straight and turning around and straight again. It appears there is some slippage or it would come back to the same place. I didn't notice any slippage while mowing.

Update. Mowed yesterday. The non turning rear tires when steering wheel is turned does not do this when just going forward non stop/continuesly. Only does it when going forward, stop, turn wheel to the left while backing up and then when going back to forward and turning steering wheel to the right. It will sit there and when it's not turning the wheels you/me can look back and tires not moving and steering wheel just turning round and round and round in my hand. Stop turning steering wheel, turn the steering wheel left then turn right an off she goes. Steep hillside or semi level ground does it. Will stop and tell Barlows this morning when I go by.
