I agree, but I don't consider a F150 as anything but light duty. F150 is a grocery getter.

I'm waiting for the "NO Engine Option". Then go and get a good reliable proven Jap Industrial Diesel. In fact I would go for the no seats option. Then get some NICE cloth seats. Driving a Titan PU today as a rental. Nice driving truck but what a god awful fugly interior! The way, they ALL are it seems. More like cheap outdoor furniture.

Its a light duty engine designed for a grocery getter. Heavy duty diesels are still gear driven, no chains and absolutely no belts.

Yes, a real diesel to me is all gear timed. However, I like what I have read on this new baby powerstroke. I hope it works out well, I like being able to choose between a twin turbo and a diesel.

Thats called a ‘Glider Kit’ I would love that option in an HD truck - I would add a 5.9 Cummins.

Well I'm glad to see Ford bring out the little diesel in a half ton,
however I doubt that I'll get one, I am looking forward to Chevys inline 6 diesel
in the half ton, when that comes out I'll be looking at moving out of my RAM 1500 eco diesel
around then. But the more half ton diesels around the better, choice is nice.
