Express line etiquette?

Some of the comments remind me of my son, he was about 5 years old at the time. Standing in line at the local rack and sack market. Large gal behind us had her beeper go off, son looked up at me and said, watch out, she' backing up.

Here is a question for you. If YOU are the one with the cart full of groceries, why would you walk up to a counter than had a sign "15 items or less" marked on it? Are you special? can you read? do you think that rules don't apply to you?

What is so "Speshul" about people who can't organize their lives well enough to get everything all at once at the store - so they need a separate "express" line because they need to come every other day for the few items they "duhh, forgot" ?

They are catering to idiots, why do we have to put up with that anyway ?

I find it economically more stimulating to visit nightly, than make a special trip just for food stuff.

Then they limit the sale items to 10 . So I have to leave and then come back in over and over till I have my 100 items on sale LOL

That's turned around, but not the other way.

People do visit more than one store for reasons of personal preference, and aren't going to always buy 15 or more items.

People do have company drop in, or decide to cook something just for fun on the spur of the moment and need to get some ingredient or other.

I'm glad you aren't running any of the grocery stores in my town

Just this Sunday we stopped in to pick up a birthday cake that we ordered for my mother-in-law's 70th birthday party. That's all we had to get. It was nice not to have to stand in line for that.

Also, our grocery store has a deli. Sometimes we stop in and buy a complete dinner. They have great roasted chicken, potato planks and coleslaw. That's three items.

When my wife was pregnant I made many a trip for ice cream. It never failed that we did not have the flavor she wanted in the freezer.

Many good reasons to have an express lane. No good reasons not to, in my opinion. :thumbsup:
