here's the real mod, those were faked just for fun,
the real mod is one inch 45 degree and short piece of one inch inside with steel pop rivets

So you revited directly to the exhaust tube
where I attached with a hose clamp?

yea, i'd seen yours earlier and i thought it was riveted on, but i didn't go back and look at it. i had to cut off part of the tip of the original exhaust since the one inch piece i had was short.
i think it'll work fine, i turned straight out to the side. the original was pointed down and to the front and when i mulch leaves, it would blow them back to where i'd already been.
thank you for the idea since the piece from the bx22 is $40 some dollars.
