That's great. When i was looking at the thumbnails i was thinking 'no way that doesn't break mounts unless they're STRONG' and then i opened that 3rd pic and said 'nevermind!!'. Those mounts look good!

I may try finding a source for braided flex exhaust pipe and figuring out a way to direct or bend it downwards and outwards.

I started this thread not knowing that i could have just added to this 2007 thread that I just found.

I like finding everything I need in one place (thread) not twenty.

So the braided exhaust 'flex' sections you see on tons of front wheel drive cars are not really intended to bend very far or to stay bent to a certain angle. They're only there to accomodate the movement of the engine on its mounts, which is constant but only a few degrees. Really, any kind of angle is cheaper to do in pipe than in those braided flex sections. Internally they are basically just like the old exhaust flex sections we've been talking about, but they have extra layers to prevent leakage and are vastly more expensive.
