Everything you need to know about synthetic oil

/ Everything you need to know about synthetic oil #11
Mobil has an improved version of Mobil 1 on the market now. I have been using the stuff forever it seems. I have their multi page brochure and it states emphaticaly that it can be used from the beginning--no break-in period needed. It also says that is is a perfectly suitable oil for diesel use in any engine requiring a CD oil because it is SL/CF. According to Mobil/Exxon, this new formulation retains all the qualities of it's past Mobil 1 products plus improved wear resistence and bla-bla. I use it in everything from push mowers to cars. The only place synthetic oils are not suitable is in machinery still using leaded fuels such as aviation engines were the lead tends to precipitate out as a sulfide and clog oil galleys leading to all kinds of nasty stuff. There is NO lead in any diesel fuel or automotive fuel today--only in AV gas and that too soon will be gone. J
