It looks like you need to crank the adjusters all the way in for transport. perhaps pulling the pin and using the other hole (brackets) up front would be faster. they do look nice and solid, I wouldn't expect anything less from EA.

Thanks for the good words, and you're correct. It would be faster to pull the pin and use another one of the bracket holes!
