Everything is cyclical. Just ask the people in the lumber business. Those who paid big bucks for lumber a Month or so ago are hating life about now.

Sometimes the best thing you can do is just wait it out. Trying to 'time the market' is mostly a fool's errand, it's just that you can't panic every time there's a price increase, a shortage, or a run on something.

Same thing is gonna happen here. Competition will appear out of nowhere, demand will slow, raw material prices will drop, people who actually need to pay the rent now will be looking for work...... It's all cyclical.
Sometimes conditions do not allow for time to "wait it out".

I cancelled my grapple order that should have been delivering in the next 2 weeks when I learned that it wasn’t…..and that I’d be lucky to have it before the snow flies.
I held off on my grapple projects all summer thinking I’d still be able to get them done before winter in spite of the crazy lead time.
I might order from EA again one day when I hear they get their **** together, but maybe not too.

Given that they keep expanding, it seems that their problem is more too much demand than them being disorganized.

They can expand on the interest earned from someone else’s money for now.

Compared to what other grapple you may purchase, I believe that your impatience was a mistake!
Good things are usually worth waiting for,..... and EA builds good stuff!

Seldom is that the case. Especially when the 'conditions' are completely artificial, as they are now.
So.......I recently discovered ten sheets of rotting T-111, that must be replaced to avoid water damage to my storage building and/or contents.
I will soon be leaving for 8 months (long Winter).
How long do you think I should wait for "conditions" to improve?
When will damage to my building and/or contents become serious?
I will not return until May 2022.

Yes, there is no supply chain interruption. It is all being fabricated so manufacturers can only work a few hours a week and fish the rest of the time. Makes total sense to me now. Thank goodness for the few on TBN to enlighten the rest of us to the truth.
;)

I was talking macro, you're talking micro.

How about when you lose a radiator hose and the clamp has gone up thirty-seven cents because of steel prices? Drive it until you blow your engine??

I was talking about places like EA making big commitments to big steel purchases when the pricing is out of control.

quibbling seems to be the norm on message boards these days

"Quibbling" or ..... reality?
At $63 per sheet, I did not want to buy it, I had to buy it!
