Thought this was really cool. Great ditching rig for farm land….

Fist time I see such thing I had to looked it up I couldn't picture how the bucket operate, the cylinder is actually inside the boom pretty cool. Even for foundation work in tight spots it would work great.

I saw that also, first one I've seen. I always forget we live close enough to see the same marketplace post.

They always come up cheap compared to a conventional excavator. That machine is way less money than just a new tilt ditching bucket for similar weight class stick & boom excavator. (The telescoping "boom" on all Gradalls rotate)

Was just thinking that myself….
That entire machine is about the same price as a top quality Werk Brau, Geith, etc. ditching bucket for a 15 ton machine.

BTW: that machine weighs about 36,000lbs.
I’m fascinated with it (probably because it’s cheap and big lol) The local railroad uses one that has 8 tires on it and I think they have a big azz rotary cutter for it, too for cutting brush back. And of course, ditching along the RR berms.

They use the regular rubber tire versions for setting jersey barriers in DC, they seem to work pretty good for that.
