Ever Line-X a trailer?

Well, I haven't forgotten about this. I talked to the Line X shop I want to use, and emailed them some pictures of the trailer. I need to contact a sandblaster also to find out what it would cost to have the trailer stripped before having it lined.

I'm not sure what I'll end up doing yet, have to get a quote from the Line X folks and the sandblaster, then weigh that against the other options, either paint or one of the do it yourself liners.

Keep us posted. I have a 10' trailer that is in rough shape that I have thought about having linex coated. My bigger trailer is currently in good shape but will eventually need attention. My truck is lined with linex and to date I have been impressed.

I heard from the Line X shop today. If I bring them a clean, sandblasted, ready to spray frame with everything removed, they will spray it with Line X on the top and bottom for $1,500.00.

It looks like I will be going another direction, just not sure which yet. I need to get some prices on having it painted, and figure out what it might cost me to apply a do it yourself bedliner.

You could do a nice DIY spray liner for about $300. Not the cheap roll on stuff, real spray on stuff that is tough as any of the professional jobs.

Chris, I appreciate those links. If I don't have it painted, I may go that route. I don't have any sort of spray booth, but could probably find a way around that.

Guys around here do the beds of trucks in a barn or in the garage. There is not the overspray like paint. All you need is a compressor, masking tape, a few hours of prep time, and the guts to do it yourself. Yes, cover everything else in plastic and keep things clean then get it done.
