erratic idle

My branson 3510 jumps from 400rpm to 1300rpm in idle. If I throttle up too around 2300rpm does ok unless in a bind. Already cleaned tank and lift pump replaced feul filter any suggestions

Did you pull out the air filter and run it to see if that makes any difference? I take it that is a diesel? Then check for loose fuel injector nuts. In tank pick up maybe clogged up.

I suppose it is a diesel engine ...then it could be the governor
