After a number of posts over time on the ability to stop a diesel engine I was curious about my BX2200. I looked at the Parts Manual which shows a stop engine lever and a separate stop solenoid but it does not appear obvious to me how I could "manually" do this. Or can I? There seem to be nuts and locking nuts with no exposed free lever that I could see. Plus one's hands would be really close to a rotating fan blade. Stop solenoid is way over on the other side and underneath the injector assembly. Not friendly. Is it possible to stop a BX 2200 engine manually?

use a pair of vice grips and a rag to crimp the rubber fuel line and temporarily shut down the fuel supply?

On side plate below where the injection lines come of the pump, there are two levers, one for the throttle and the other one is the stop lever.

Are you sure you are talking about the 2200. The 905 series WSM does not talk about the stop engine lever. The parts listing for the BX2200 shows a "stop engine lever" but it appears to be threaded into a port on the injection block assembly. There is a cover piece covering the threaded piece. Not a lever. This is why I am puzzled. I am attaching a jpg of the parts layout. Am I missing something. I can see the throttle lever you mentioned.

THANK YOU David for pointing out the obvious. Don't know how I missed that. I stopped looking about 10 pages earlier in the pdf file assuming that was the only spot the lever was mentioned. Appreciate your efforts in my continuing education.
