Hi,

After 350Hrs I've got my first problem with the BX.
Today when working on the field (with a 3pt sprayer PTO driven) I had a sudden drop in RPM. It happend about 10 times during the hour. I really don't know what is wrong with it. When it dropped in RPM I disengaged the PTO but it made no difference. After a few seconds it got back to normal working rpm (2800rpm).

I made a movie with my Iphone : BX2660 - YouTube

any thoughts?

rgds,
Adryan

The BX tractors have 2 fuel filters, 1 underneath the operator platform and one under the hood. My neighbor's BX had the same problem, I replaced the fuel filter under the operators platform and it has run great ever since. I have attached a picture of the filter, you also may notice the transmission cooling fan is missing it's fins. :ashamed:

I changed the filters, the one bellow the middle is really dirty!, other next to the engine seems ok. I installed a clearer type, so it's easier to see the contamination.

Engine is running fine again!
