I can beat that, this morning I had fresh off the griddle home made waffles , with real buttar, and the real deal Me. maple syrup, made in China.

Gee, life must be tough for all you guys not having perfect toast, may the New Year be better for you. BTW my wife uses a toaster oven to cook toast and biscuits and they come out perfect every time

But then many Vermonters have french Canadian family names so maybe it is an inherited thing.

Nothing better than maple syrup poured over fresh strawberry waffles with a dab or 2 of sour cream!

I've received a few, sporadic, email notifications. Nothing like the torrent I used to get 'back in the day'. <sigh> You try to explain to the new members about the near avalanche of email notifications we Old Timers had to wade through every morning (up hill, both ways!) and the Newbies just roll their eyes [].

I've got a Mate visiting from Queensland... burnt his toast the first morning because the toaster was set for English Muffins. I'm wondering if it's a case of operator-error.

Good thing I went back a few pages so i could correct all the errors here about maple syrup. I ask a lot of maniacs including myself which syrup is the best and the consensus is that Me. makes the a better syrup. Scientist believe it's because Me. is closer to the ocean and all that air coming off the ocean adds flavor to the maple syrup, now cant disagree with a scientific fact.
