I now have what I call Auto Level Stop Control on my Grand L 40

That's sharper than a $2 tack.

My philosophy is... The more complex something is, the more failure prone it becomes as it ages. I do just fine with the 26 buck (Kubota price) for the rod and bracket) assembly.

I hear ya. I’m in the business of designing & manufacturing products in the emergency vehicle industry that absolutely cannot fail so this will have high tolerances & robustness.
