electrical problem

Hi, I've owned a CT 335 for several years with no issues at all until now. I have noticed that the lights on the dash change brightness and often the tach goes to zero. I have been operating in the summer and now first trip to move snow in yard had no headlights, no windshield wipers, no radio. (NO blown fuses) Thought maybe power switching relay was so weak or out, got a new one and changed it out and same. ( Next step is to look for rodent damage?) Or does anyone had similar problems. I have been a member for several years but couldn't remember my login credentials, so create a new account.

Start by cleaning the battery terminals. Then go through all the grounds. Dimming lights should like a weak ground connection

Cab has 2 power supply's. switched and unswitched. Unswitched power comes right from the starter and powers your radio and dome light. If they do not work you need to check that circuit first. There is a switched power relay just for the cab and is powered by the unswitched power to the cab. The tractors switched power relay controls the cab relay.

Had the same problem. It ended up being the main relay under the rightside dash. I bought a couple of the generic relays and swapped them out to no avail. Then a trip to the shop for quick diagnosis for this specific relay. The relay was cheap. The shop trip not so much. (Also, the new battery, cables, and hours of fussing to no avail were not cheap either.)

Still looking for problem, I have 4 volts at the headlights fuse terminal and o volts at the windshield wipers fuse terminal, the headlights are on the fuse block under the steering wheel, the windshield wipers are under the cab fuse terminal.. I have a dome light but no radio. I have changed relays, swapped relays, cleaned battery terminals, checked grounds, checked for wiring harness rodent damage. My battery is getting some age on it but still starts tractor. I have one set of wiring harness connectors yet to check under cab, going to do this today, so far all wiring harness connectors have appeared in great condition. A buddy said he had an issue with bobcat skidsteer where a conductor wasn't complete but the insulation looked great(factory blem) Thanks, to all suggestions so far

Do you have a DVOM? If not, get one and learn how to use it. Someone that knows how to use one could probably have the issue isolated in 15 minutes. How a connection or terminal "looks" means nothing in electricity. You cannot "see" volts or "see" ohms. You may get lucky, but trying to track down electrical gremlins without a VOM is a huge waste of time IMO
