I switched bearing plate and flywheel on my 16 hp kohler now have electric start an runs good. I was going to put the electric clutch from the 14 hp on the 16 hp but the shaft on the 16 hp is 1 1/8 and has no threaded hole ( 14 hp has inch shaft and threaded centerhole. Any sugestions Is there a clutch available? Can I drill and tap the crank shaft?

No threaded hole? How is the clutch retained? Is it pressed in? I'm sure it is possible to drill and tap it but from a practical point of view, it's probably not going to be easy to do it straight.
