The Guide is attached to the log with a few screws at either end.
So far the outfit sems to be pretty stable as the guide is 5-1/2 inches tall. It do work but aint very fancy.

As my b7100 Kubota is limited in log draggin ability this device allows me to reduce a log to moveable portions at the felling site.

Yes I do use a rip chain.
