Neighbor sells eggs for a dollar dozen. It used to be fifty cents but he doubled prices two years ago or so

I dropped off 4 dozen eggs to one of our customers this afternoon. Our chickens free range during the day and we lock them up at night. We have Rhode Island Reds and Golden Comets. They both lay nice brown eggs, however the goldens lay really large eggs.
One thing I found quite surprising was to see a hen catch a mouse and kill it and eat it. I've seen them do this several times.
