You may THINK that the Big Bud solves the problem. But only if they fit it out with Turf tires. I wouldn't want those Ags in my front yard.

John, the Bushhog batwing you have picutred in the center is what they use at work for grass cutting. There is a 15' and a 20' wide and actually do a good job. Then after they do the big mowing the use two Johndeere grasshoppers. What they can't get with that they use string trimmers. They also have a Ford tractor with a sprayer mounted on the rear for roundup extra and they go through some roundup. Two people are full time grasscutters in the summer months. Not to bad when your pulling the batwings, a-c and a nice radio, the New Holland has a little drink cooler built into it but the a-c doesn't work near as well as the John Deere.

Inside the fence they have one grasshopper, ten pushmowers and six string trimmers.

I ordered a 15' Befco Batwing for one of my best friends... at the last minute he changed it to the 12' {recommendations from golf course maintenance people}.

He mows his 8 -10 acre front lawn around a couple man-made ponds, and uses a Massey Ferguson 1165 to pull it. {Over 8000 lbs. total weight} The wife and kids have John Deere riders that finish around the house and out-buildings... Really a fun family affair for them.../w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

It's main use (at least for me) was cutting hay, but I have found it works pretty well on my Bota. Now-a-days, it's used to cut the meadow once every 6 weeks or so. Doesn't need high HP to run it (as long as its sharp) and gives me a 7' cut. High maintenance though. Its a pain to keep sharp, and it must be sharp to cut meadow grass. It works OK up to a 30 degree incline, good for along the driveway and over the edge of waterways.

Well I have a 4.3 acre triangle, and I found the best way to mow it is with two tractors. We have two old Ingersoll’s, a 444 for me, and a 224 for Michele. Now if we could just get rid of all the trees, that would make it a lot better.
