Early S650g gasoline powered

Where do I start looking for ID numbers to see if this is a PB100 or a TA/TB engine?Also,are there any numbers to check to see what year this model is?I am repairing it for a friend-it won't start,but has spark and is getting fuel.He says it blows lots of blue smoke,so I'm hoping rings and maybe head work.Also need to know what the compression is supposed to be on either of these engines.I've heard this is the place to get answers,so any help is appreciated.Thanks in advance!
