Does anybody know where I can buy a replacement carburetor fo4 the E130 that is not $100 or $200? I have seen several $30 or $40 replacement carbs, but none for the E130. Ebay shows one, but it isn’t the right one. It shows two butterfly chokes and mine only has one. My carb is a Briggs and Stratton 593198.

I would buy the OEM carb. Or fix the old one. Issue? Knock offs are a crap shoot. I've seen many get burned by them. It may or may not work good new. In a year, toast. BTW, that is not the Briggs service part number. If you'd like, post the model and type from the valve cover on the engine.

Thanks for your help. So is it 44N677? I messed up the float and a couple of gaskets. I think I will try a rebuild kit first.

44N677-0049-G1 You may want to find an IPL to source exactly what you need. Here's what I can tell you from the Power Distributors site. 597126 is the carb assy. 694914 is the float. 594212 to new # 84001917 is the kit, but shown as back ordered. SO is everyone out of stock, I dunno. Deere could be a good source with their part number or maybe another has it in stock. Internet part suppliers are good to say in stock, but then you get the email 3 days later...You may also want the intake seals as well. 594209 x2

You can get a complete OEM carburetor from the Briggs and Stratton store for $177.75.

How do you know you need a new carb?

And after looking at the prices for a new carb, one would think that they are gold plated.

I had one of these that had a surge that I felt was an issue with an air bleed that I just couldn't get. Frustrating when that happens.

Yeah, I ordered a rebuild kit instead. Hopefully, that will fix the problem without laying out so much money.
