E-Gator

Anyone with first hand experience with an electric Gator? I can buy up to 5 of them ranging from '99-'04 with new batteries and tires as well as power dump, for around $1500 ea. I'm thinking of buying one for use around home and maybe towing 500 lbs. the 20 mile range with regenerative braking and intermittent run times adding to that a bit, it would easily run all day the way I would use it. Very little grade travel on my land and mostly would use it to move plants, brush, dirt, gravel, etc... I like the quiet and not having to do traditional service and not worrying about long periods of none use with carburetor gumming, and all that.

These are standard 4 wheel Gators, not 6 wheelers. I'd be worried about the extra drag of the 4 rear wheels on a 48 volt unit.
