Not many posters refer to this model but it's a great basic tractor. After 50 hours I sent it back to have the mandatory valve adjustment. I have done and will do all other maintenance. Tough, powerful, simple tractor for bush hogging, disking,plowing and haying. After many hours of mowing thick brush not even the paint was scratched. Since it doesn't have power steering, I can understand why it's not real popular with the FEL boys, but they do make the 3505 same tractor with PS. The 115 ci diesel has run great. Oil changes and air filter easy to service. Good dealer support. Tractor is equal to any 31 pto hp tractor I have used. Well worth the $.

How much did it cost to have your valves adjusted? Was it under warranty? Have you had any recent problems with the tractor or dealer?

I got a price today on a new Mahindra 3505 for $9,600.00. Another dealer wanted $10,300.00 for the same tractor. Do you think this a fair price?

When I bought the tractor the dealer agreed to do the initial 50 hr. valve adjust for free. I did the oil changes myself (simple). No problems with tractor...great value in my opinion.
Paid about $7500 after rebate.
