Spent Saturday using the BX to load a 20 yard dumpster with junk. Had the the load hauled away today...It weighed in at 10 tons!!! :confused2: :confused2: :confused2:
thats called a hi-tower tarp system. it helps the driver not tear the tarp.
.....the worst tarper I ever used. I could hand tarp faster. The pita is getting it to roll up at the dump.
Are you sure it was only 10 tons?![]()

I can't believe you through away that granite! I would have taken it for free!

take out the yard waste, soil, rock, concrete, and metal that you could have got paid for or at least dumped for free, and how much would it have weighted?
you probably could have stuffed what was left in a couple of garbage bags and thrown them out on the curb.

$133.42 - Per load plus actual tonnage charges (a) (a) Tonnage charges will be based on the actual number of tons per load multiplied by the disposal cost per ton. The disposal cost per ton includes the transfer station tipping fee per ton ($39.12 for refuse, $32.63 for greenwaste, rate at C&D facility, etc.) For refuse only, the disposal cost also includes franchise fees of $14.03 per ton and landfill surcharge of $3.81 per ton.),
That would get close to $800.00 out here. I always need to think twice before I send a load to the dump.
Those of us here in N.E. are plagued by rocks.Want some rocks?
C'mon up to eastern CT. How many would you like?Every year we
get a fresh crop.
The first time I drove through the midwest, I couldn't believe my eyes.
People were paying for field rock!:confused2: Cut rock is for sale here,
but field rock?!? If I wasn't retired, I'd get into the rock moving business.
Bill
Yup, I second what Bill said. That is why you see so many stone walls in CT were farm fields used to be. Sometime I think we grow rocks here![]()
