Dumpster Cleanup

that rock as others have said had so many uses. I dont have beds or anything that would need them, but i sure as **** could have found a bunch of washes that could have been packed with that rock. My buddies friend delivered an 18 ton load of concrete from his driveway for that exact reason. he was happy to give it away for free and not have to pay some one to take it.

Here's what it would cost to dump that load out here.

$133.42 - Per load plus actual tonnage charges (a) (a) Tonnage charges will be based on the actual number of tons per load multiplied by the disposal cost per ton. The disposal cost per ton includes the transfer station tipping fee per ton ($39.12 for refuse, $32.63 for greenwaste, rate at C&D facility, etc.) For refuse only, the disposal cost also includes franchise fees of $14.03 per ton and landfill surcharge of $3.81 per ton.),

That would get close to $800.00 out here. I always need to think twice before I send a load to the dump.

Our transfer station is a standard fee. Around $37 for residential and $44 for C&D

I have bought over $1000 of rock last week for fill.. That dumpster made my mouth water. Oh well if we just could get that "matter transporter thingy" working I would have taken all of that load down here in Missouri:)

Those of us here in N.E. are plagued by rocks. Want some rocks?
C'mon up to eastern CT. How many would you like? Every year we
get a fresh crop.

The first time I drove through the midwest, I couldn't believe my eyes.
People were paying for field rock!:confused2: Cut rock is for sale here,
but field rock?!? If I wasn't retired, I'd get into the rock moving business.;)

I would have loved to have that rock. Its 250 - 350 bucks a pallet for field stone around here. I have a ton of landscaping projects I would have used that stone on.

Yup, I second what Bill said. That is why you see so many stone walls in CT were farm fields used to be. Sometime I think we grow rocks here :D

That tone could have brought 900 to 1000 here. The tipping fee would have been about 400. THe landfill i manage we reuire that loads that are mainly rock or concrete take a seperate can. We try to segregate our brick and stone and concrete. We dump it in a small area and sell the stone or gravel dirt mix antique brick, Concrete and block I run the compactor over to make it easier to load. We then use this as road base or sell it for clean fill or base. I would like to have a portable crusherr one day. Air space is too valuable.

I trheatened on of our drivers with a Hi tower one time and He told me if I wanted him to uit just say so lol. We run O Brian tarps on our trucks wit hthe odd cyclinder design so they raise evenly. Well 2 of them are Obrian the thirs was one our welder made copying the Obrian design. We put a tarp on a year per truck on average. One time we loaded dumpster on one truck that when it was scaled the can itself was 60 000 pounds. Just cant beat a Mack lol.

Good job on the clean up.
