If it's not too late, I would strongly recommend a wider gate than you are planning. 10-12 feet gets mighty narrow when pulling a trailer through or driving a motor home or other large vehicle through. My gate is 16 feet and is not too wide for me, although I do have curves before and after the gate.
We have the mighty mule opener and it has served us well for the last 6 years. No real issues with it. For 350 bucks, it will be replaced with the same if it is ever needed. If money is no object, go with the professional model, though. Can't take it with you.
