I have have blink battery powered system and I use lithium batteries in the cameras for better battery life. Furthest camera is about 105' and I would say much more is pushing its limits.

I use two different systems to achieve what you want to do.

I have a Reconyx Hyperfire 2 cellular game camera which I mount at the entrance to our 500' driveway when we are away. It takes stills and video of anything entering the drive. It alerts us on our cellphones which we can use to view the incident. It's high def pics can easily read a license plate. There is never more than a 20 second delay although this can vary depending on your location and cell provider. We use it as a game camera when we're home so it serves a dual purpose.

We also have an outdoor Nest Cam mounted on the garage within WiFi range. It has a clear view of the drive and anyone approaching the house. It also notifies our smartphones with pics and video when triggered. It auto zooms in on faces to aid recognition. The delay averages 20 seconds. It stores the images off site and can be reviewed for up to a month.

Both cameras require a subscription. The Nest cam costs $137/year which can be reduced or eliminated depending on the storage duration desired.

The Reconyx cam costs $16/month but can be activated only when needed.

How about a trail cam for hunting. The ones many are using now use cell towers and send straight to your phone. As long as there is cell service on both ends it don't matter how far away.
The ones I've seen/heard about don't seem to be an immediate notification. More like batched or sending every few minutes. If you know of a cell-capable game can with 'instant' notification I'm all ears. That would be perfect, assuming the app would allow me to set a notification sound.

You don't necessarily need to install it at the end of your driveway. Could maybe put any detection system after the last curve closest to the house. All just depends on your preference, of course.
This is true, and something to think about. I have a bend in the driveway just after the trees that reduces the distance to the house to 300' with direct line of sight. Thanks for the idea.

Good tips! I'll look into those items. Thanks!

Moultrie sends pics to a cloud then sends a notification to phone then you access the cloud to view so maybe that's not gonna work for your application.

Yes, that's one of the ones that appears to have a potential for delay of up to 10 minutes.
