Heya folks. Well, I've been a fan of Paul's (4shorts) work for quite a while and since I recently picked up an old Yale forklift I'm rebuilding, I had the need to ask him a few questions. He answered what I needed and pointed me to some of his more recent work here, so I figured I'd drop by and sign-up.
I'll post up the rebuild of my forklift as I move along with it. At the moment I'm just rewiring some things and taking care of some minor engine work in order to get it moving around easier, after that I get to move onto the real work prior to stripping and painting it.
So, with how I got here out of the way, here's a little bit about myself.
I'm an Information Security Engineer (these days that means that I develop corporate wide security policies to mitigate risk and to respond to government regulations). Previously, I did everything from breaking into systems and telling people how to fix them, breaking physically into facilities, etc... for the same reason and designing secure systems/networks/applications/etc... from the ground up.
I've been a professional machinist, welder, fabricator, etc... back some time ago and now I just have my own private shop on my property. Some of my equipment is listed below:
Miller Trailblazer 302 EFI Generator Welder
Millermatic 210 MIG
ESAB PCM875 Plasma Cutter
140 gallon 10hp 3cyl 2stage air compressor
OA rig
Small milling machine
Hougen Mag-drill
and various everything else from grinders to 1930's drill presses and everything in between
Well, that's about it for now, hope to have some fun here on this forum...ohh, and I am planning on picking up a nice little tractor at some point as well
