A new guy question.

What is used to attach a chain to the drawbar? I was thinking to use a bolt type anchor shackle and a top bar pin for easy removal.

See All-Lifts, Inc.Shackles and rigging hardware

I know from a safety aspect, not to pull from the lift arms but I'm not sure on what's used to go in the drawbar hole.

That should work. I use a clevis similar to this one that I bought at my tractor
dealer for around $10.00

I have a trailer hitch ball... put chain around it and hook end of chain back on itself. Easy on, easy off. Chain weight keeps it from getting loose.

Thanks guys. I was doing a search on clevis when I found that rigging web site. I had also thought of using a hitch ball but I値l go with the clevis hookup.

I use a clevis as the others for chaining down and transporting, but I use a drawbar hook just like workinallthetime posted for pulling. The clevis would work for pulling, but you lose the advantage of grabbing the chain wherever you want/need to unless you run it though and back to itself...

Clevis and chain hooks work for me.

Me, too, but identify that tractor for me, Flusher, because I don't recognize it. Is that an old Ford without the hood? Whatever it is, it sure looks neat and clean.

It's my 1964 MF-135 diesel still being restored. Just don't have the sheet metal on it yet. It's an orchard tractor that has those wide, squat rears.

I need to replace the vertical exhaust stack since there's an interference with the hood sheet metal. Need to reroute the fuel line to the injector to get this problem solved. Haven't gotten around to that fix yet. Maybe next month.

One thing that I'd want to do is to have something behind me in case the chain snaps. My father once pulled our 1957 Olds with a chain. Chain snapped and wrapped back onto the hood of the car. Could have easily snapped and wrapped back to the back of my father on the tractor.

If you have ROPS, attach a piece of plywood between the ROPS?

That has happen to me when pull brush/vines/trees out before. Not very smart on my part.

Hmmm.
Porno on TractorByNet.

A topless tractor.

Such a sad lack of morals
