Have you tried putting the chipper teeth on it? Or put a cimaf head on there. Productivity will increase but be careful in the rocks.

Rail ROW's are horrible to clear, theres old track and spikes etc, etc... Your looking at spending some pretty good money to do it your self, it may be best to hire the job out. Where are you located ?

the rail road is located in Lebanon Oregon. the reason we are doing it our self is the guy who owns thew rail road also owns other companies. one of witch is a rail road contracting company so we have the people and equipment for doing all kinds of work just not much for mulching equipment. we have 18 excavators from 12ton to 45 tons,as well as tons of other equipment. we just need a good brush mower set up. And he is not afraid to spend money.
