I accident bumped my DK45S brush guard against the dump truck I was loading, not hard, mind you. Then I couldn't open the hood because the brush guard was in the way. Easy fix; tied brush guard to a tree and backed up. But the lesson here is these things are quite flimsy.

Well, it is just a guard...

For you guys that do load a dump or pickup truck...consider rigging an old tire (no wheel, just a tire) to your brush guards. This can prevent damage if you get close to the truck and give you warning if you do get too close.

I did same thing loading scrap metal on a trailer. Used a come-along to pull it back. When I get a chance I am going to beef it up as I also did not hit it very hard.
