You can not wear this dog out. She will fetch in the water, and on land. If she loses sight of
the ball, stick, gorilla or Kong she will search high grass or where ever until she finds it.
From a distance I watched her track my wife the other day...nose to the ground until she got within 50 yd and could then see her, then she ran to my wife wanting to play. She's starting to protect her turf from
farm intruders. (just praying she doesn't run into a skunk!). Took her into town to a Home Depot last
Sunday afternoon. Passed 3 or 4 other dogs in the store and she ignored them. Good "socialization" trip.
She still doesn't warm up to strangers, she tries not to interact when we go off farm. Strangers on farm, hair on back of neck goes up, growl and serious barking. She's very controllable but not welcoming.
