Well, the dog knows she cannot go in with livestock unless I allow her to. So I guess she is communicating to the heifer to stay put :laughing:

My dog will sit like that, watching my horses. Sometimes he will be there for a couple of hours and if one gets too close, he will bark a few times. I'm sure he wishes my fence was not electrified, especially since he has been shocked a couple of times when the horses got too close to the fence and he thought he should correct them.

Whenever my dogs get their tail onto the Hotwire they somehow blame me. I get shunned afterwards and have to apologize to keep peace in the family. :confused3:

My previous dog was fearless. Only time I saw her scared was when she hit our electronet fencing: she attempted to breach it on a couple of occasions to stop attacks on our fowl from aerial predators. She'd come away just shaking. She still wanted at the attacker. When we eventually eliminated that fencing (went with a perimeter fence topped with a hot wire) there was no longer a concern of any attacks (aerial or ground) with that dog on-duty.

Thanks, another neighbor just across the road got a game camera pic of a grizzly bear this pass summer, in the past FWP lets us know once in a while when a radio collared grizzly or two has come through our area, but usually no see them come through.

My first game cameras last picture is of a bear paw and claws just a little blurry and then it did not ever work again.

When the 2 mountain lions came through our back yard in 2010, it was about 9 or 10 pm and the wife spotted them through the back door glass. I called the neighbor to let them know these cats are coming their way and then I heard from the neighbor on the phone "OH MY GOD THERE IN MY DRIVEWAY". The game camera caught them again coming back about 4am.

I could probably handle all of those things except the white stuff. I would be searching the real estate ads in Florida...

The dog loves to get on a large pile of snow and dig, dig, dig...

He also does not mind the occasional -40 degrees F for up to a week.

We hate the hot weather anymore, and that's why we live here.
