We aren't sure yet if he'll make it, he has respiratory issues. (Started a thread in rural living if you care to take a look)
My 10 year old blue male is a ruthless herder, she won't even try. I was majorly disappointed in her at first. (She wasn't cheap)
Then when the heifers started calving, we had a few calves that needed extra attention (which is par for the course with heifers) she stepped in as a motherly figure. She'll clean them from head to toe and lay with them until they return to their real mothers. So far all the cow have taken the calves back, something that several people said wouldn't happen after the dog licked all over them.
